HIS PRESENCE
Scripture Reading - Galatians 3:13-14
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. KJV
As Christians we are entitled to the Blessing of Abraham through Jesus Christ. Notice that Galatians 3:14 states, “the blessing of Abraham” singular. The primary blessing of Abraham is the promise of the Spirit. Father Abraham had God’s Word that he kept in his heart because he had a covenant with God. However, he did not have the Presence of God abiding with him continuously. We know exactly who that Promise is, we know who is the constant Presence of God. He is known as the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost. We must always remember that we have the Holy Spirit of God residing inside of us continuously. The Holy Spirit is known as the Comforter in John 14:26. In the Amplified Bible this word refers to several different names such as Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and Standby. He is known by these several names because all those titles help clarify who He is to us. Once we understand all that He is to each and every believer we can look to Him for divine insight into the problems we face in this life. The good news is that He (as God on the earth) is always inside of us. His Presence can be upon us when we speak God’s Word and give our praises unto God. The Holy Spirit is waiting for your participation in the Ways of God to give you divine illumination. He with God’s Word gives us everything we need to be successful in this life. So remember to acknowledge Him in all your ways so that He can direct your paths. First, let the Word of God speak directly to you about your current situation. Then, receive the Life of God in the Presence of the Holy Spirit to change all situations for good. After that, you can enjoy God’s Life and His Life more abundantly in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Let “His Presence” change your present for God’s Glory. Amen!
